Dual boot Linux and win7 on Pavilion g6

I recently obtained an HP Pavilion g6 (g6-1a44ca) with Windows 7 and I`d like to install Linux alongside it however there are already 4 primary partitions (factory install). My question is can I get rid of the content of 1 or more of these after creating the restore discs.
